Who We Are

Meet Zaria

Thank you for visiting my site! My name is Zaria (she/her) and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and eternal student of life. My work is informed by years of studying movement, anatomy, and the art of deep listening — to bodies, to histories, and to the unspoken needs of my clients.

As a yoga guide, I honor the origins of the practice and acknowledges the lands where I teach, weaving storytelling and history into my classes. I believe it is important to acknowledge the places we’ve been because it reminds us that our practice does not exist in isolation. They come from somewhere and from someone. Honoring these roots allows us to practice with gratitude and integrity, while also holding space for the communities whose stories and traditions continue to shape the work we do today. As a massage therapist, I create spaces of warmth and safety, where presence, breath, and intuitive touch invites you back into your own body.

I believe wellness is communal. My offerings are designed not only to restore your body, but also to honor our shared humanity and the stories that shape us. I am passionate about building connections and welcome collaborations with like-minded individuals, organizations, and creatives.

If you have an idea, project, or vision for how we can nurture wellness together, I would love to hear from you!

My Story

My path as a wellness practitioner began long before I realized it was a calling. I attended my first yoga class in 2011 with a friend from high school. At the end of that class, I experienced a deep sense of peace and connection that I had never felt before. It was a moment of clarity — I knew I wanted to share that feeling with others.

In 2020, I completed my first 200HR Yoga Teacher Training, and in 2022, I committed to deepening my practice with a second training. I am currently continuing my studies through a 300HR YTT. Along this journey, I have been shaped by the wisdom and guidance of incredible teachers: Kennae Miller (Transformation Yoga), Bethany Louise (Pranayama House), Victoria Martinez (Chakra Flow University), Shanna Small (Shanna Small Yoga), and Susanna Barkataki (Ignite Yoga & Wellness Institute). Each of them has offered me tools, insights, ad ways of seeing that continue to ripple through my teaching and my life. I encourage you to check out their offerings, as their work continues to inspire me daily. They have shown me not only the physical practice of yoga, but also its roots, philosophy, and the responsibility of carrying it forward with reverence.

My journey to massage therapy began in a different but equally transformative way. When a close friend asked me to serve as her doula, I felt called to explore how touch and presence could support others through life’s most sacred sacred moments. Soon after, I toured a massage therapy school— and enrolled that very same day. Under the guidance of my instructor, Lucas Foote, I learned how massage can be more than technique; it can be a form of listening, of holding space, and of helping others return home to themselves.

Both yoga and massage have taught me that healing is not a solitary act, but a communal one. My work today is rooted in honoring the lineages and teachers who have shaped me, while creating a space of care, connection, and empowerment for those I serve.
